Get in the mood for Halloween with the Can-Kan Friends of the Library and Caney City Library Board by joining us for Spooky Tales and Tea on Saturday, October 18th from 2-3:30 pm at the Sandstone Event Center.  Enjoy finger sandwiches, sweet treats, and a variety of teas, as we share local lore and discuss scary books for both adults and children.

Come enjoy the decor of a gothic themed table with Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft.  Spend time with vampires old and new with Dracula and The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires.  Other tables will feature Scooby-Doo mysteries, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and books by Stephen King and John Connelly.

The program will feature book and tea trivia, local lore by Jim Kitterman, and a brief discussion of the featured books.

Seating is limited, so please RSVP by purchasing a ticket for $10 at the Caney City Library.
